TELEMETRY CHANNEL ASSIGNMENTS 2 Feb 2003 ------------------------------------------------------------------- As of Telecon on 15 Jan, we must add the PCSAT type 20-to-5 channel telemetry multiplexer to account for the additional battery telemetry needed. Both the A and B side carry identical telemetry to provide dual redundancy. The channels are transmitted in packets 5 values at a time, so it takes 4 cycles of the telemetry to gain a complete telemetry snapshot. Thus, only the 5 samples per packet are taken at the same instant in time. The channel assignments follow TNC-A CHANNELS TNC-B CHANNELS ------------------------------ --------------- Frame 11 1 = Battery Volts 1 = Same 2 = Battery Current 2 = Same 3 = Solar Array Current 3 = Same <== new 4 = Load Current 4 = Same <== new 5 = 5 volt regulator 5 = Same i = avail Frame 10 1 = Battery Temp 1 1 = Same 2 = PEC side Temperature 2 = Same <== new 3 = TXA Current 3 = Same 4 = TXB Current 4 = Same 5 = TX Power out 5 = same <== new i = avail Frame 01 1 = TXA Temp 1 = Same 2 = TXB Temp 2 = Same 3 = TXC Temp 3 = Same 4 = RX Temp 4 = Same 5 = TNC/TLM Temps 5 = Same i = avail Frame 11 1 = RXA Current 1 = Same 2 = RXB Current 2 = Same 3 = RXC Current 3 = Same 4 = TNC-A Current 4 = Same 5 = TNC-B Current 5 = Same <== new i = avail The i channel is an ON/OFF indication only
